Christmas Markets to Attend

Christmas is just over a month away and that can only mean one thing… Christmas markets!

We love the festive season and we especially love the markets it brings to us. We’ve listed a few festive happenings that we know you’ll love…


Southbank Centre, South Bank London

Date? 27th October – 4th January

Whilst South Bank provides a range of markets selling festive food and glittering gifts from its wooden chalets, it also provides a range of entertainment. From a snow show and orchestra evening through to a family- fun roller bump disco, South Bank caters for everybody and is guaranteed to put a smile on the faces of all who attend.

City Hall Gardens, Belfast

Date? 14th November  – 20th December

Wander around the transformed gardens for Belfast’s Continental Christmas Market this year and sample wonderfully festive treats from German sausages, Belgian chocolate and a range of cheeses. This market doesn’t just offer food though; you can find arts and crafts, clothing and festive decorations too.

Manchester City Centre

Date? 14th November – 21st December

Manchester’s city centre is usually a buzzing hub of Christmas markets big and small at this time of year. With a vast selection of foods and warm beverages, jewellery, clothing, decorations and children’s rides, you’ll want to reach every corner of the city to experience the magic that Manchester provides.

Cathedral Green, Exeter

Date? 19th November – 19th December

This Christmas market features a range of handmade gifts and foods from crepes, speciality cheeses, chocolates and a hog roast. With more than 50 traders setting up in and around Cathedral Green, visitors can take in the atmosphere whilst enjoying a hot beverage from an Exeter Christmas market mug.


Nottingham City Centre

Date? 20th November – 3rd January

Nottingham’s Christmas fair is made up of an ice rink, a winter wonderland bar and a Victorian themed festive market that has been voted a favourite by the UK. From handmade gifts, homemade cakes and unique jewellery, you’ll definitely be spoilt for choice. The market is open until 24th December and the ice rink and winter wonderland bar close on the 3rd of January.

Guildhall Square, Salisbury

Date? 26th November – 20th December

The Christmas market in Salisbury is in its fourth year and consists of markets selling a range of food and gifts. Children can go and see Santa Claus in his grotto and there will be various performances by choirs and local schools until the 20th of December. What sets this Christmas market apart though is the beautifully colourful paper lantern parade.

Hyde Park, London

Date? 20th November – 3rd January

Hyde Park will transform itself into a magical winter wonderland and play host to a range of markets and entertainment. From a magical ice kingdom, ice rink, a giant wheel and circus shows taking place throughout the duration of the event, Winter Wonderland provides a captivating experience for all who attend.

Roman Baths and Bath Abbey, Bath

Date? 26th November – 13th December

With over 170 chalets lining the streets of Bath, this award winning Christmas market offers a range of food, treats and gifts. The stunning scenery Bath provides is also accompanied by a range of magical choral arrangements.
